Tanks and Guns

Okay so with that title you can guess that I do live on a military post. But this week I got a first hand look at some really cool things.

Okay so this week is Marne week. It is the 91st birthday of the post, Fort Stewart. Fort Stewart is called the Rock of the Marne, due to during one of the world wars the 3ID (3rd Infantry Division(which is Fort Stewart)) keep the Germany out of France at the Marne river. After that people started making jokes about how they were the rock at the Marne river. Now 91 years later you hear "Rock of the Marne" every time you drive though the gate which you are supposed to (but I don't) reply with "Top of the Rock". Not sure where that comes from. Anyways sorry to bored you with History I was bored so I went to the free museum I guess I spent to much time there.

Anyways during this celebration they had a display and not a normal display at all. They had every vehicle that is here at Fort Stewart. You could climb into the tanks, and helicopters and see what it is like. I got to go into a Bradley (which is what Jeremy is supposed to work on) and I also climb into a M88 (which is the recover vehicle that he has now). Which was cool because he is aways talking about it and about driving it out to the field and now I got to see what he was talking about. I also climb into a normal tank with a canon called a Abmira (cant spell it). I also saw what the fire trucks for the army looks like and also communication vehicles. Another cool part was that I got to sit in a black hawk. Yeah that was cool not many people can say they did that. I also saw 2 other helicopters, which one was a Apache and the other a medic one. It was really cool.

Then today we went to ETS. I don't remember what it stands for but something Training Simulator. So it is this one with these big 8 ft scenes and all the guns line up. This is where they train cause even though you are not shooting bullets out you still have to stop and reload just like normal. They was telling me they can do just about any scene to shoot at from targets to guys shooting at you, they can make it rain or snow or sunny. Since there were alot of kids we did the one that you shoot at turkeys and you have to clear this building of guys shooting at you. At first I was so scared. I never shot a gun. So we started out with the M16 and the first time I did terrible. I could not figure out how to reload for the life of me. But after that I figure it out and I got a couple of kills. Anyways I shot a M4, 50 Cal (which are normal the guns on top of the tanks), Martin 19, Saw 249, a M 240, and a 9MM. Yeah I did not like the big guns as much as I like the M4. I do have to say a M240 because it was a machine gun was cool to shot, but I could not load any of them. Also the 9mm I did not like because it had bad back fire and it was hard to reload, which I just think the guy did not explain it to me well. Anyways I was having a blast!
I did not want to leave I was having so much fun shooting! I never thought I would say that. I always said I was against guns but that was fun. The guy was like you should go join the army now so you could shot all the time, I was like funny. Yeah I guess I have learned alot living on a army post. I never thought that I would be talking this way and know different guns. I am excited with my new knowledge. LOL!!!
So don't make me mad!!! LOL!

Anyways I am in love with Twilight. I have not even had it 24hours and am already on page 150 something. That is good for me.

Twilight

Okay I did it!!!
I bought the Twilight book 1. I have never heard of it but saw online that Everyone else read it and loved it. Heather told me awhile back I should read it but I have not read a book since I was in High School and that was 10 years ago. Anyways, now after seeing that my sister-in-law read it in a couple of weeks I thought okay I should read it.
So I tried to find it at the local library but it was checked out and the wait was long for it so I was like fine I will just wait. But then I saw a preview for the movie and was llike oh man this looks cool. So now I guess I should read the book before I go see the movie.
So, thanks to my dad and Marie for sending me my birthday gift I went to Wal-Mart and purchase the first book. So I hope it is good cause it is not like me to read very much. Plus if it is good I will have to go to Savannah to get the rest of the series.
Anyways, I feel like I know what everyone is talking about now.
So I guess I will go and start reading. I will let you know how it goes!

Happy Birthday to Me

Yeah! It is my birthday day! Yeah, I am another year older. Hip HIp Hooray.

If you cant tell I am not jumping off the bed excitied that it is my birthday. It just a reminder of how old I am getting. I dont want to think about it. But the only thing that keeps me happy is thinking that in January Jeremy will be 30. Yeah I know in 2 more years I will be that age. But I dont want to think about it. So what are my big plans? Nothing. Jeremy is taking me to Chilis tonight. I wanted Oliver Garden but dont feel like driving to Savannah and there is nothing to eat in this town. We are talking about going to Savannah tomorrow cause (thanks to Kim's Blog aways talking about them) I want a Great American Cookie. I have not had one in years. I looked at Wal-mart and they dont even do the cookie cakes so the only way to have one is going to Savannah.

Well Other then that nothing much is going on. We did go back to the infertility Dr Wednesday. Things are not going well. He took Jeremy's blood for one more test. We are still waiting for the results. But he thinks that the only chance on getting pregnant is an IVF ( in vitro fertilization ). And to do it there in His office you are looking at he said around esitimate of about " $10,000 dollars. Can you believe. So we dont know anymore.

Anyways well Jeremy is off so I am going to run talk to you later.

Accident

So I guess I can say that I have truly been injured in an accident now. Not saying that is something to brag about but, I was proud to never really be hurt or even in a major accident. Now I can't say that anymore.
It was Monday, I have just left a friend's house who lives off post. I came though the gate at 5:00 pm and the reason I know that is because I got stopped at the gate for retreat. For my nonmilitary friends. Retreat is when the US Flag is being lower at 5:00pm. The whole post is supposed to come to a stop. You have to stop your car and if a solider in uniform is in a car he has to get out and stand at attention in the direction of where the flag is located. Anyways so after that I was traveling on Frank Crothen toward home. We were going to a Family Home Evening activity at the church and was kinda in a hurry. Anyways. The car in front of me stop on these railroad tracks to turn left. This was a 2 lane road, no turning lane, no shoulder, and at the busy time of the day. Five o'clock is when everyone is hurrying home. So traffic traveling off post was back up. So I stop and looked down cause I saw a long line of cars coming and knew that that he wont be turning anytime soon. The next thing I knew I jerked forward, which I though I hit the steering wheel but found out later my chest hurt cause of the seat belt keep me from hitting it. Anyways then I went back and my glasses went flying off. Then I felt another little jerked. That was when I realized I hit the car in front of me. I put the car in park and just started crying. The guy in front of me jumped out and is looking at me and then the guy that hit me jumps out yelling at him "I did it" I hit her. So they both come check on me. I am freaking cause I cant find my glasses and I did not wont to step on them cause that would be bad if they were broke. So I take my seat belt off and then notice them in the back seat, my cell phone was under my feet and set back down. They called 911 or dispatch here on post and got them to also send an ambulance. So I called Jeremy and all I said was "I am in a wreck and I am by the shoppette" (which is military for gas station). Then they decided that they thought it would be best if I went to the ER just to get checked and my heart rate was 140. It calm to 122 by the time I got to the hospital though. Anyways Jeremy got the neighbor to take him to me and he drove the car home and the neighbor bought him up to the hospital to wake on me.
Anyways I am okay I just have wipe lass (cant spell) and some sore muscles in my neck. I also have intra bruises in my chest and shoulder from the seat belt. They gave me Lortabs but that did nothing for me. So I went to my primary Dr this morning to have it checked again and he said I have some strain muscles and gave me some muscle relaxation and the good ole Army candy. (For you that don't know Iburpton 800mg is what the army passes out for anything that is wrong).
Well we got a rental car yesterday. It is nice a 2008 Nissan Centra. I like it! The car got tolled to the shop cause the light busted made is undriveable. Which was good cause I did not want to try to find someone to drive me an hour away to drop the car off. Well, we got a phone call earlier from the body shop. They was asking if we were the first car or the one in the middle. I said we were the one in the middle. So they ask if we had front and rear damage and I was like correct. So Jeremy asked if they were going to fix it and how long or what is going to happen. And the guy said that it was on the border of saying it was totally. They were going to give the information to USAA (the other guy's insurance) and let them make the decision. So I guess now we seat and wait to hear what they want to do. The guy said it was going to cost especially since it was the front and rear, to fix it almost has much as the car is worth. So we will wait and see what happens.
Anyways here are some pictures to enjoy!!!

This is the truck close and you can see how dented it is in.
This was the trunk still close and the gap between it and the bumper.

This is when we pop the trunk cause Jeremy had gear in it. You can see how dented in it is.

This is the front. You can see the grid thing is broke and all the straches.

Another close up of the stratches and thing that broke.

This is a far away picture of the rear. You can see all the damage to the back.

This is another side picture of the trunk open.

This is another of the front of where the bumpter is falling off.

This is a picture of the trunk again open this time.

This is another dent in the side. I dont know how that got there just he hit me hard enough in the back to cause the side panel the bend.

A picture of the light messed up.

I know some of the pictures were like doubles but I took so many pictures I could not tell. Also I know some pictures might not look like much but I wanted poof of everything.
