Old Cemetery

This is the view from inside the cemetery looking at the church. You can just tell how old by the gravestones.

Okay so Sunday after church a friend invitied us on a little sight seeing tour of some smalls towns around Hinesville. So we agree and set off. Well we made it to two little towns Pembroke, and Midway. I cant say much about Pembroke just it was a cute little town. Now Midway is where we spent some time. This little town in like Edvale nothing there but a gas station and some churches. Well my friend want us to see this old cemtery. There are some horror stories about this cemtery that are werid and she wanted us to see where it was. Well, we deciede to stop and walk around, and i did not have my camera with us so these are some pictures I found on the web of it. The cemetary was amazing we saw grave sites that were dated back to 1772 and around then. That is before the Declaration of Indepence was sign, even before the US army was established. Anyways also burry here was 2 US Generals that died here during the American Revolution one which is James Stewart, who Fort Stewart is name after. The moment in the middle is the moment for them. So yeah I am not a history person but this little place amazed me. Also there is an old church across the street from it that was built around the early 1800s. They do have a museaum and I will definitly go back and take the tour they give of the cemtery and church.

Also I came home and did some research on this town, Midway, GA. I found also in that cemtery is an former governor of GA. Also there were two people from there that sign the Declaration of Indepence. Also found out that Midway use to be a big town and was very important but during the American Revolution it was burned to the ground. The church that you will see in the pictures is the first thing that they rebuilt to try to developed the city again, but it never happen.

Anyways sorry for all the history, but I was amazed and just thought about sharing. Enjoy!

First Trip to The Hosiptal

Well, Things around here have been going good. Yesterday I ran across a receipt to make low fat buttermilk pancakes from scratch. Yeah that right no Bisquick. I was so excited to try them and I did and they turned out to be great. Jeremy loved them.
Well since we got here to Georgia and been moving boxes around. Jeremy shoulder which got hurt in basic and AIT has been hurting. Well last night it got so bad that he keep waking up in so much pain, so we went to the ER. They did nothing just gave him a muscle relaxer, pain and iburtopfen. So he got another day off, and now Friday he has to report to sick call (a doctor I guess). Hopefully now they will actually do something about his shoulder I just dont want surgery. I guess I will post later what happens with that.
Anyways I am hoping to get the house clean up this weekend and I finally got some rechargable batteries for my camera so I will be getting some pictures up soon. Well until then I will post more later.

The night the lights went out in Georgia

Yeah that was a song I use to enjoy but last night it did happen. For yall all that watch the news you probably heard about the tornadoes that hit downtown Altanta which is still 5 hours from here. But last night the strom was in our backyard. I just found out that we were in a tornado warning when we lost electricity. We lost it for about 2 hours. Man, the post can get really dark. The night before me and some friends were talking about how old this post is and all the spooky stories so yeah I was scared. Well Jeremy fell asleep but I was still awake laying in bed when I heard the wall moving or someone upstairs walking around (which no ones lives above us). Then before I could wake Jeremy all of a sudden our bedroom dooor just slam shut. I screamed for like 5 minutes. Well the lights came on and I saw the strom was still staying north of us so if we got anything it would just would have been rain. So I went to sleep woke up this morning and I dont even think it rain that much here. Yeah it was fun! Our first strum and lost of electricity in Georgia.

Our new puppy!

Well we deciede last week that we wanted to get a dog. We went to the vet here on post to just look but fell in love with this 12 week old lab mix. She is very calm but is playful at times due to still being a puppy. We deciede to take her right then. So now we have a cute little dog. She has been a joy to have and I hope she will become a protective dog when Jeremy every have to leaves.

Finally in Georgia

Well we did finally make it to Georgia and I do have to say it is beautiful here. The second picture is of Atlanta. I love the weather so far and the beautiful trees. I am enjoying it here.

Nashville, TN

Well after 3 days of traveling and the weather finally got better we decide to do a little sight seeing. We decide to stop at the Country Music Hall of Frame and Museum and rest from driving. It was so cool. The first picture is off the building it is build to look like a base cleft. The round part is the actual Hall of Frame. The 2nd picture is Elvis Car. I think the car had a cool name but I dont remember. 3rd picture is just a big wall of nothing but gold and platinum records. There was alot of them. 4th picture is on the right Dolly Parton white dress and wig. To the left of that is Johnny Cash black outfit. I dont remember who guitars that was. 5th Picture is on left Conway Twitty white suite. (which I found out Conway is not his real first name) next to that is Loretta Lynn's dress. It was beautiful. Next to that but was cut off is George Jones white suit. The place was full of interesting stuff.

Trip from Utah to Georgia

Well this is some of the scenery pictures from our trip. Sorry there was not a lot to see. The first picture is of Nebraska, it was a very boring state to drive though. 2nd is the snow we hit North of Kansas City, MO. We had to stop a a rest stop for a while just to take a break. 3rd picture is of the ST Louis arch. Dont really know what it is called I wanted to stop and see it but as you can tell in the picture the weather was icy and bad so we thought it was best to stay on the interstate. The Last picture re is of the Tennessess River. It was so pretty down in the south part of Tennessee.

Lets Count the States

Well in our trip from Utah to Georgia we got to go into 8 different states. Here is us at some of the signs. We did not get a sign in Illinois due to entering it in St. Louis.

Salt Lake City

While in Utah we did take the time to go one last time sightseeing around Downtown Salt Lake City and see Temple Square. 2nd picture is of the conference center, 3rd picture is a view looking down State St into downtown City, 4th is a picture of Temple square and the last picture is of the capital.

Moab, UT

Well these are some pictures of us in Moab, UT. Most of these pictures are from Arches National Park. It was really pretty but very very cold.

Okay Has many people know I left Texas and headed to Utah for 10 days to pick up our stuff while Jeremy does Home Town Recruiting. So when I left Texas it was warm, I picked Jeremy up at Aberqueque, New Mexico airport on day 2. Then we drove into Moab, UT and spend the night then did some site seeing around Arches National Park then we went back up to the Salt Lake City Area. So here are some pictures of that trip.
