Heading Out of Here

Okay so Jeremy is due in less then 25 hours for a wonderful 15 days for Rest and Relaxation (R&R)! I am so excited which is the reason I am still awake but tired! lol! Anyways - I just wanted to share that when he is home I wont be online much because we are going on a little vacation and will not have the internet. Where are we going? The "Happiest Place on Earth" and the place "where Miracles Happens" yes that is right! We are going to Disney World! Yes I know we don't have kids but what can I say we LOVE that place. Love the ideas of no worries, wonderful places to eat, great entertainment that is good and family clean. Epcot a place to see and learn of a little taste of other cultures. Then there is the excitement part.... I love rides! Rides Rides and more rides but not just the rides that leave you out of breath but some that are just nice causal ride that tells a story as in the Pirates of the Caribbean and Jungle Cruise! So why go some where else Walt Disney World sounds so great! So anyones once I get back I will fill you in on how it went! But until then!!! Goodbye!

Cooking and Food

Okay so I have this new adventure bone in my body and that has to do with cooking and eating! Okay anyone that knows my family knows that us "Haynes" are a very picky family. I think each one of us are picky and a different area too, I will eat one thing but my brother might not but sister will or the other way around. We are just all picky! lol! Well, after R&R I want to stop that for me! I want to become a better eater! My husband (the future cook) loves food and loves all ethic foods and has a wife that he loves so he never gets to enjoy those foods he craves. So I am hoping to open my eyes to other foods and try new things. As hard as it might be I know I need to do it! I must just stay positive and think about why I want to do it and I might find my next "Favorite" thing! lol!

With that being said I also have this idea of learning to cook healthier or find a way to cook what I like using fresh ingredient and not out of a box. Also if I can find a healthier way to make junk food then I am all for it! lol! Like I saw the other day that you can make brownies out of beans? never knew that?! Really wanting to try it but need a good receipt or someone that has actually tried them?! Anyone got one??
Also I have a goal in August to begin learning how to decorate cakes. Which will be hard for me since I don't really eat cake... I just am not a cake eater but LOVE to decorate them. Is that wrong? Maybe I will start making one every 2 weeks and give them out?! So if I show up at your house that looks weird ignored it I was just practicing! lol! I plan on signing up for the classes at Michaels or AC Moore I just dont want to have to drive every week to Savannah but hey you got to do what you got to do. Anyone want to sign up with me so I can have a partner for the drive? Speaking of cakes on this show the other day that I like called "Cupcakes War" (I think) One of the contestants made all vegan cakes and the judges was amazed on how great they tasted. They had a whole store of just vegan cakes. I was shocked and now that makes me want to try a vegan cake. Some thing else to try!
Also, I have to add I really really want to start making my own bread. I just got to learn how to start small and how to get started. At church we had a cake making class and I have to say I was shocked with how good the bread turned out. The bread was a Honey wheat bread. Now you are talking about someone that A) never eats wheat bread b) HATES honey and normally never even try anything with honey. But remember my new goal of trying things I tried it and all I can say is OMG!!! It was so good. I would love love love to have that everyday. And I can I just have to start making it. So another thing to learn and work on improving.

So now that I listed all of that: Is anyone interesting and being my cook and teacher? lol

Army Anniversary!

Okay so this is a little late but I just wanted to share! July 11th was Jeremy anniversary date from joining the army in 2007 (I love it: 7-11-07). I just wanted to share that I can not believe that it has been 3 years since he left for Basic training. Which starts me thinking about the last 3 years and how much our lives have changed. I mean if you ask me 5 years ago if I thought I would have every been living in Georgia I would had been like no way. But look at me I have been here 3 years and loving it.

Thinking about 3 years ago and I just want to share some stories of Jeremy joining. Okay so we we on a "date" to the Utah Blaze football game at the Delta Center and we were walking around the booths the arena area and there was a Army booth giving away shirts if you could do some push ups... of course my husband stops and tries it. So of course the recruiter starts talking and my husband then tells him he is interested. I remember the shocked on my face but I can't say it was really shocked I knew it was coming, we had mention it a few times before but never made a move on it. So anyways the recruiter gave us some pamphlets and so we talked about it during the game. Yes I don't remember anything about the game just talking and every time I had a question he would run and go ask. lol... so after Jeremy got up and went and ask about 4 questions the recruiter just made an appointment to come meet with us and that was the start of it all.
I also wants to say that we had a camping trip to Bryce Canyon in Utah plan has a goodbye trip for right after July 4th because we did not think he would leave that soon after taking the ASAVB test. But no he actually left one week later so we never got to go on that trip; so has a joke I still tell him he owes me a camping trip to Bryce Canyon!! lol

Anyways I wanted to share some pictures of Jeremy:

Sand

Dear Mother Nature:

Sand is a tiny little particle. It is great feeling when walking on the beach and feeling the sands between your toes. But that is where the sand should stay...on the ground. In Iraq the sand choices to fly and swirl in the sky creating a great sandstorm. Sand on the ground is great but once it is the sky and flying around becomes terrible. Epically when a helicopter should be flying away from the dessert with my husband but due to this wonderful particle the flight is again delayed. I want my husband back NOW! So listen Mother Nature keep the sand on the ground and the sun out and shinning with NO wind. So could you for me Please the Middle East needs NO sandstorms for the rest of the week. Oh and since I am at it keep the weather nice and pretty this weekend! lol!

Thanks
A Trying to be Patience Wife

Okay if you can't figure out what this is about! Jeremy was supposed to start his Journey Monday night but has of Tuesday he was still there and delayed again. Sand Stroms!!! Who would have known a little thing can cause so much trouble?!?!?!
Hope he will get a flight soon and the rest of the trip goes more smoothly! lol

200 days

Wow what can I say? I just wanted to post and say we have now close the 200 day mark of Jeremy being deployed. Wow! I can't believe that it had been so many days some times but then other times I feel like ugh we are just a little over half way though. Over all this year has not been that bad I mean it has had it times but I guess it has been pretty mild. Glad that we have 200 days behind us which is great that we have made it this far. Now we are preparing for Rest & Relaxation (R&R)and I can't wait. We are planning to spend about 8 days at Disney World together during R&R. We thought it would be nice to be able to take a vacation and relax and just have lots of fun during this 2 weeks home. So hopefully we will enjoy it. I mean how can we not it is Disney World, "The happiest Place on Earth"! Well I just wanted to post about that! Sorry I don't post lot lately just been busy. Maybe one day I will get better at this?!?!
