Day One

Okay , so today did not go has plan. Today was going to be my first day of really trying to change my life around. I had plan on it being my first day with no fast food or sodas... (That is right...no more sodas for me) I plan on working around the house and then this afternoon head out to the track and start my walking. But here is what happen:

I was awaken at 8am by hearing men talking right outside my bedroom window, kinda scary. It was maintenance and they are doing some kind of digging work by my house. So I went and laid on the couch...till 9am when the doorbell rung and it was them again telling me they were turning the electricity off in a little while for a couple of hours. Great what am I going to do....I yelled out loud" okay I get the hint I am up" But before I could get to making me anything to eat the lights went out. Oh well, so I thought I would use this time to go get registrar for some college classes so I can get on track and work on my college stuff. Okay so Central Texas College is getting on my nerves and don't every help me. I explain that I need to register and they told me to go home and do it online...and I was like I just got my old transcript evaluated and needed to know how to read it and what classes I still need. So they told me to go upstairs really fast and print it out so I go upstairs but did not have my Military ID on me so I was handing back to the car to get it when I realized that they had close the CTC office with a sign that they have gone to lunch. OMG! She could had said something about that before she sent me up there. So then I had to kill 30 minutes to wait on them. And I was hungry so I gave in and went to Taco Bell. There the truck in front of me at the window died and it took him 10 minutes to move it out of the way so I could pull up and get my food and move on.

Anyways, back at the Education center I ended up going up and down the stairs I think 5 times last time ended with me going up and taking a algebra test. LOL! I remembered some stuff from 10 years ago but others I just wanted to laugh. But I have aways and will aways hate fractions. I can't do them and have never been able to. I can solve for x just not with a fraction in their. LOL! Oh, yeah I had no clue with the factor part either. I guess this is the math we don't really use in our daily life....or at least I don't!

Anyways, so I am registrar and paid for one class to start in April...>Government! This will be fun epically now. I HATE THE GOVERNMENT AND ANYTHING POLITICS but I have to take 2 classes so I better try to like it. So if you are good let me know cause I will be needing all the help I can get. Still trying to decide to do a Math, or something more interesting to me like a Child Psychology class...I don't know!

Anyways....well even with my crazy day and yes I had a coke icee...but I am still going to go to the track. It is starting to cool off outside so I am thinking of changing my clothes and heading out now. I am wondering if i could walk 2 miles in a little over 30 minutes??? I don't know we will see how I do... I can't give up on the first day can I????
Anyways more updates later on how the learning to run and losing weight is going! I might even start a blog about it.

There Is No Place Like Home

Dorthy said it perfectly in the "Wizard of Oz" there is no place like home. But, what is home? Since I have been here at Fort Stewart, I said this was home but when I decide to go to Texas, I called it a trip home. Then after a few days in Texas I was ready to head "home". How can you have two homes? So I been thinking. Buna, Texas will always be my home, I love it there. Life feels so simply and calm. I guess it is just the country in the air. I grew up there and some times it feels like I never left, well other then me not knowing the people now.
But, now I do consider Fort Stewart, GA my home.. Why? Cause after being in Texas it makes you realized what you do have here. I kinda feel like I put my life on hold when I went on vacation and now back I have to get back to my life. My life is here in Hinesville, GA. I have my house and my stuff and MY BED!!!! I feel comfortable here...and I dont have to share the washer with anyone. I have friends here and my school is here. I love the friends I have here even though I miss my family I guess Fort Stewart is a home away from home!

Anyways, So I am back in Georgia and so Happy to be back but I have a mile long list of things that I want to get done in the Next 3 months before Georgia comes home for R&R. Anyone wants to help????
1) Tomorrow grocery shop and stock the house again with everyday things
2) Go talk to the College and get signed up for some classes and get them out of the way!
3) Get my house clean and organized
4) & then with number 3 I want to remodel and redecorated my whole house....PLEASE HELP!!
5) Make a big batch of Homemade spaghetti sauce and can them so I will be stocked on that.

That are my main things I want to do right now.... I really need some ideals with the redecorating I have some ideals but I like a second opinion!

Anyways, well I had a lot of fun in Texas...Thanks to everyone that I saw for the good times. I am glad I had lots of time to spend with family and thanks Adam and Kim for letting me watch Parker and spend a couple of nights at your house! I enjoyed it! So keep in touch!

Oh, and Also I want to give a shot out to my sister-in-law Kim for the awesome job she did with my blog! I love it and wants to say Thanks!

100 and Goodbye

Well, today is the 100th day that Jeremy has been away. WOW! that is a long time! I thought 100 days would take forever but I have to say it has not been that long but I am hitting the point where I enjoy my peace and quiet but I miss him now and want him to come home ...NOW! But I do know that in 3 months he will get to come home for R&R and I can't wait! I know we can make it! Also, keep him in your prayers cause he is having a little trouble right now sleeping so we are hoping they are able to fix the problem over there and he wont be sent home. He can go to sleep no problem but only sleeps for like 2-3 hours and then he is wide awake. So far any medicine they have put him on has not worked. So we will hope they will find the cure. Anyways, I know he will be okay!

Anyways, today is also my last day in Texas and has much that I have enjoyed my time in Texas with my family I am ready to get back to Georgia. I have had so much fun with all my family....so Thanks to all my family for the great times. I enjoyed spending and getting to know my sister in law, Kim, and my nephew Parker better. It has been great!

But I am ready to get back to Georgia and stop living out of a suitcase.... I feel like I am wearing the same clothes over and over...lol. I also have some goals that I want to start working on once I get back. Some of the goals is to start losing weight and learning to run. Me and Jeremy has a goal of running a 5K together when he gets back from Iraq. So I better get started ASAP. Also, I plan to sign up to start a couple of classes next month so I will be busy with school. Also, my sister in law has a blog....Look at the right it is called... Love a Good Deal.... and it has some great ways to save money and she has a lot of sites for coupons and such ...so I hope to learn some ways to save money. So those are my goals... also I have one more and that is to deep clean my house and redecorated the house complete. ANYONE wants to help????

Anyways , well more later!

Down on the Redbud Farm

Okay so this past weekend was the 38th Annual Redbud Festival. No, it is not down on a farm that was just the theme of the festival for this year. Anyways, growing up this day was always a busy day and a exciting day. When I was really young I was in the Little Miss Fireman pageant that is that night so I got to ride on cars and wave and throw candy. Then at the age of 3 I begin taking Twirling lessons so it was a normal thing to march in the parade. Then in Jr. High I was in band and same thing in High school. I was 19 before I every got to watch the parade so it is nice now just to enjoy it. But things have change with it. As a teenager you spent all day riding rides hanging out with your friends, eating so much food you were sick, and spending the whole day in the sun. This year I only spent 2 hours up there and was SO ready to head home. I guess I am getting old. Anyways, this year my sister-in-law, Kim, bought her nephews and niece to the Parade and festival so I hung out with them to try to help with the kidos.
Anyways, here are some pictures of the day:

We are all waiting on the Parade to start.

The official start of the parade; the Jasper County Sheriff Department.

And what is a Parade without the pride of the
Cougar Pride Marching Band
(But sorry I remember the band in the high days of the late 90s
and very disappointed now)

Parker watching the parade and wanting to run for candy.

Now this brings me WAY back. I use to be one of these "Patsy's Twirlettes"
I did this for years!

The kids enjoying the parade and noticing the HUGE amount of candy collected!

Now it was time to head off to the festival:
Parker the festival was a little to much, so he fell fast asleep but only sleep for about 20 minutes.

Taylor, Tucker, Hunter and Parker in matching shirts enjoying the
good old carnival food!

Speaking of food; what is a festival without some good food??
So here is a picture of my brother's Turkey leg
(I did later eat the left overs and it was good)

A yummy Sausage on A Stick!
As a child this was my favorite thing at redbud!

Align CenterYou also have to have the sugar treats and nothing beats this
A Funnel Cake covered in Powder Sugar!!!

You also got to play the Duck Game!
I got all the children to play cause I knew they would love it!
Parker quite did not understand but nether-less he enjoyed splashing in the water.
The carnival guy for once was not a jerk and tried to rip us off and was very fair.
He gave all the children nice prices.
Parker got a Tail-less monkey, Hunter & Tucker got big yellow balls
Taylor received a I-Carly Microphone and Meredith got a nemo fish.

Wishes that I could be here for next year but the way our plans is going for next year I wont be able to.
