Hayrides, Pumpkins, and Corn Fields

Okay so this past weekend we deceide that we needed to do something so we could enjoy the fall and get into the mood of Halloween. So we found out that there is this place called Poppell Farms that is outside of Jesup, GA which is not that far away just about 30 miles. They have this 10 arce Corn Field which is made into a maze. So we went Friday night because they do it in the door with people hiding in the field. It was way scary. Walking in the door though this corn and when you turned a corner you dont know what is on the other side cause it was so dark. It was alot of fun.
So we deceide to go back out there Saturday to enjoy the day time activities. They had a hayride that takes you out to the pumpkin patch and then you get to get a little pumpkin. The only dissapointment was that they try to grow their own pumpkins but the temperature in GA kills them and they dont survie. So they are not grown there. They had a little petting zoo with donkeys, ponies, ducks, goats, chickens, and bunnies. They had alot of little kids activities. They also had this lake that they use the water to help with the watering of the corn field. In the lake they have catfish. I am talking huge catfish, because they dont catch them they just let them grown old and die, they said they won't eat them. I was shocked. People around here dont eat catfish but that is my favorite kind of fish. It makes me miss home and going to Catfish Cabin in Lumberton. Anyways here are some pictures of the day.

This is the corn maze from the sky. Pretty cool I think. The white part is the path.
Here we are with our little punkins in front of us at the pumpkin patch.
This is Jeremy lost in the corn maze. It was tall.

This is the catfish I was talking about. Can you believe how big and they wont eat them. That is some good food going to waste.

This is just a picture of one of the trails down the corn maze. Can you imagine getting lost in that!!

Hey!
Why won't they eat the catfish? They look pretty tasty to me.
Happy Fall!

Glad to see you are doing well. Sorry but since the hurricane my life has been wild. I would like to go through that maze that is really neat. I know you will do well... I would rather be walking in the maze than listening to people complain that their insurance will not pay for new carpet if their dog used the bathroom on their carpet during the huricane....Miss you a lot.
