Virginia is For Lovers!

Ain't that a cute saying?! Sorry, you see it everywhere up here and thought I would use it has the title.

So, January 20th we left Georgia and headed up north to Virginia to drop Jeremy off at Fort Lee. Plan was just that DROP him off and I was heading back. Well, we got here and found out that Jeremy was not going to be staying in the barracks. So he ended up staying off post in a hotel that is about 2 miles from the post.

So, right now I been sitting around the house while he gets up and goes to school and PT and stuff. Yeah I am getting bored and there is nothing on tv during the day. But, Jeremy gets the weekends off so we get to go do some cheap (and free) site seeing during that time. we went last weekend and saw the General Grant Headquarters during the Civil war and a bunch of forts and battlefield that was use during the Civil War. So much history around here.

So, I think I am going to stay up here so that way I can spend time with him.. I mean he has been gone for the last year. So my job is during the week find something cheap to do on the weekends. It is kinda nice. I have enjoyed Virginia so far. It has not been too hard to find my way around. Even my husband has learn his way around.

So, far Jeremy is doing good in school and enjoys it with passion. So I am excited to hear that and he comes home everyday talking about the new foods that he made that day and how yummy it was. He likes to share with me everything..lol.. which is fine but I don't like to change the way I do anything. He even made a 96 on his first test! I could not be anymore happy and proud of him!

I grew up near there. I love that area, it is the best place in the world. You are close to TONS and TONS of fun thing. Williamsburg is great and the colonial section is free if you dont go into the shops (be sure to ride the Stanton ferry over), James town, Norfolk has tons of fun stuff, I recommend the Chrystler or the nautical museum. There is also a really good french bakery a blog for the chrystler. Just do go there at night, even with hubby, not a nice area. Tons of plantation homes too. And then there is Richmond, Charlotte, and my other love, DC.

What are you guys up there for and for how long?
